1 small head of green cabbage, sliced into strips

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

12 oz smoked sausage or andouille sausage, sliced

1 medium onion, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 bell pepper (red or green), diced

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tablespoons soy sauce

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook until it starts to brown, about 4-5 minutes.

    Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, around 3-4 minutes.

      Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.

        Add the shrimp to the pan, cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.

          Toss in the sliced cabbage, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

            Cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still with a slight crunch.

              Drizzle with lemon juice and soy sauce, stirring to distribute evenly. Cook for 2 more minutes.

                Adjust seasoning to taste, and remove from heat. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
