Ingredients
  

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

2 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

½ cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)

8 oz bittersweet chocolate (for ganache)

Optional: powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easier removal.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk until well combined.

      In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.

        Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing well until combined.

          Carefully stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, but that's normal. This is what makes the cake moist.

            Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

              Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

                While the cake is baking, prepare the chocolate ganache. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add in the bittersweet chocolate, stirring until smooth and glossy.

                  Once the cake is done baking, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.

                    Once the cake is cool, pour the chocolate ganache over the top, spreading evenly with a spatula. For an extra touch, you can let the ganache drip down the sides.

                      Optional: Dust the top with powdered sugar for a beautiful finish.
