Ingredients

For the Pulled Pork:

3-4 lbs pork shoulder (also known as pork butt)

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust based on heat preference)

2 tbsp olive oil

For the BBQ Sauce:

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sliders:

Slider buns (12-16 small buns)

Coleslaw (store-bought or homemade for topping)

Pickles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork:

    - In a small bowl, mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub.

      - Rub the spice mix all over the pork shoulder and let it rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

        Cook the Pork:

          - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned (about 5-7 minutes per side).

            - Transfer the seared pork to a slow cooker. Add the apple cider vinegar and chicken broth to the slow cooker.

              - Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.

                Make the BBQ Sauce:

                  - While the pork is cooking, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the sauce starts to simmer; reduce heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

                    Shred the Pork:

                      - Once the pork is fully cooked, transfer it to a cutting board. Use two forks to shred the meat into bite-sized pieces.

                        - Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker, add the BBQ sauce, and mix well. Let it warm for another 30 minutes on low.

                          Assemble the Sliders:

                            - Slice the slider buns in half. Place a generous scoop of the BBQ pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun.

                              - Top with a spoonful of coleslaw and a pickle slice, if desired. Cover with the top half of the bun.

                                Serve:

                                  - Arrange the sliders on a platter, serve warm, and enjoy the sweet and tangy goodness!
